August...God's vacation from the Midwest snowboarder. The most stagnant month of the year. Waiting for videos to drop, watching your favorite teasers for the forty-seventh day in a row. Cutting off that pair of pants you were trying to save for winter, due to the heinous weather. Phone calls from your friends who are in Portland, or Whistler. Scoping YoBeat for six hours in a row. Giving your board a chick's name, and holding conversations with it. Wait, what? Anyway, you all know the feeling, that burning inside, the itch, the anticipation. (If you aren't talking about snowboarding, you may have a bigger problem than the rest of us). As for the rest of you, I feel your pain. In the meantime, we'll just have to keep to those teasers, skate, travel, and plan for the upcoming season.
